Join Naima Beckles (For Your Birth) and Joanne Zerdy (Inviting Abundance) for a 4-week reading group that centers on Dantiel Moniz’s 2021 collection of short stories, Milk Blood Heat. This is a dynamic selection of stories that engage with adolescence, womanhood, pregnancy loss, death, grief, motherhood, and friendship. You can read a review of Moniz’s book HERE.

Our book group will meet on Thursdays - July 1, 8, 15, 22 - from 12-1:30pm EDT via Zoom. We will introduce discussion questions and topics and incorporate both large- and small-groups conversations so that participants will have ample opportunity to share, listen, and reflect.
