We’re helping to organize an Information & Action session on Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions! Join us to learn about what BDS is, how it works, and how YOU can join this global, non-violent action in support of a Free Palestine!

Attendees will have an opportunity to write postcards to local and national businesses, urging them to commit to being an Apartheid-Free Zone and to sign up for local canvassing through AVL for Palestine. You can also support direct mutual aid donations for people in Gaza and meet members of our local Jewish Voice for Peace pod.

We’re so pleased to be able to contribute to this wonderful monthly series organized by Jenn Jones, PRSS and Meghan Hetfield, PRSS, CRPA.

This will be a free one-hour-long conversation with optional activities designed for those who work in fields and areas where grief is abundant. Join us for this heard-led gathering where we can work together to normalize grieving.

Our Gathering at Firestorm Books is a Drop-In Event - All Supplies will be provided.

Will will be returning to the Fall Retreat for the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath, and Death! He will be facilitating a workshop entitled “Grief and Social Learning,” which is aimed at helping participants understand and analyze their earliest lessons about grief and grieving.

We are very excited to be participating in the WNC Run/Walk for Autism Event.

It’s now estimated that 1 in 36 children are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

Will is running the 5K to help raise funds for autism awareness and support. Our 7-year-old son Phalen is autistic. As we learn more about neurodiversity in its various forms, we are excited to support Phalen and his peers (of all ages). Please help us reach our fundraising goal of $700!

Joanne will be talking to Sara Asch, Bereavement Services Coordinator for the Center for Grieving Children about ways to support the young grievers in our lives. There will be time for questions from attendees during the Zoom session.

Sara Asch worked as a K-12 art teacher and then earned her Master's Degree in expressive therapies/counseling with an emphasis in art therapy. After engaging with the Center for Grieving Children as an intern, volunteer, and training consultant, she assumed her current position as their Bereavement Services Coordinator.
