Outside the Circle: A Creative Exploration of Grief and Community - Residency

We’re thrilled to have been invited to a 3-day residency at Texas A&M University in the College of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts. We’ll be collaborating with Composer, Researcher, Musician, Two-Spirit Dr. William Linthicum-Blackhorse.

Our residency will include presentations of our current research and thinking related to grief, gardens, performance, music, and philosophy. And we’ll be facilitating discussions and workshops with university students, faculty, and staff. All of our events are free and open to the public!

Our gatherings on May 7 & 8 will take place on-site. Much of our May 9 schedule will take place with a hybrid format. A live-stream will accompany the morning session. And a Zoom meeting will take place in the afternoon. **Please note that this is Central Time!

The Postcards for Ceasefire Pop-Up series invites us to practice our informed citizenship while connecting with community members who also wish to see an end to the horrific genocide unfolding in Gaza. Billions of U.S. tax money directly supports Israel’s military as it commits atrocities against Palestinians on a daily basis.

Thus far, at least 79 U.S. Congressional Representatives and multiple U.S. labor unions (representing 9+ million members!) have joined tens of millions of people - of all faiths, of all nationalities, of all ethnicities - worldwide to support an immediate, permanent ceasefire.

A lasting ceasefire - that includes a release of remaining hostages and held political prisoners - is a crucial first step to creating any kind of just, equitable, and peaceful future.

Workshop for Pregnancy & Infant Loss

This online workshop will be facilitated by grief worker and educator Joanne Zerdy, PhD (Asheville, North Carolina, USA) and educator and Reiki practitioner Amrit Dencer-Brown, PhD (North Berwick, Scotland), who have each experienced loss. Joanne and Amrit are deeply committed to their ongoing healing and to supporting others who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, and/or infant death.

Healing Workshop for Pregnancy & Infant Loss - November 2022

This monthly online workshop will be facilitated by grief worker and educator Joanne Zerdy, PhD (Asheville, North Carolina, USA) and educator and Reiki practitioner Amrit Dencer-Brown, PhD (North Berwick, Scotland), who have each experienced loss. Joanne and Amrit are deeply committed to their ongoing healing and to supporting others who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth, and/or infant death.

For this session, we will meet on Saturday, November 19 from 1-2:30pm EST/6-7:30pm GMT. The focus of this workshop is: Nature Inspires: Deepening Roots

Our gatherings will include a range of activities from mindfulness, guided meditation, and body awareness exercises, to reflective writing, small-group conversations, and working with grief through creative modalities.
