Creative Grief Work: Tending Finlay’s Garden, Embracing Herbalism

Finlay’s Garden comes from the heart. Since the sudden and inexplicable death of my baby boy Finlay in 2014, I have been cultivating a Creative Grief Practice, following my impulse to learn more about the natural world through the study of organic gardening, permaculture design, and herbal medicine. This study - and continued personal healing - has led to the creation of Finlay's Garden.

I began this wee apothecary by crafting herb-infused raw honeys while a student with the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine. Each herbal honey is made over the course of 4-6 weeks in very small batches. At the request of a friend, I began blending Herbal Teas and other Botanical Treats. I hope that each of my care-fully made products will nourish your body, mind, and spirit.
