Class: Herbs and Grief

  • Inviting Abundance 9b All Souls Crescent Asheville, NC 28803 USA (map)

**Please Note -- The date & time of this class has changed from its original scheduling -- it is now on Sunday, Feb 11 from 3-5pm**

Come learn about the specific ways in which herbs can support you in your practice of grieving or in your work helping another to heal. From the heart-opening capacity of hawthorn to the multi-dimensional healing & strengthening power of rose, herbal remedies can become some of our strongest allies during tough times. They can lift us up and help us to keep going!

Joanne Zerdy will focus on how we can strengthen our cardiovascular and nervous systems and discuss ideas for bolstering our overall health with nutritive herbs. She'll describe a handful of botanical wonders that she has found especially helpful during her own grief journey of 3+ years. These are also plants that have piqued her interest during her herbal studies with the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine. We'll talk about the herbs' powers to affect our emotional-physical states - and everyone will have an opportunity to share their experience with these horticultural helpers.

In addition to tasting some preparations of these herbs in the form of infusions, tinctures, glycerites, and more, you'll receive recipe ideas for experimenting with these herbs on your own at home.
